Module Management

Feature in GridCore

Define and version infrastructure modules.

Overview

Module Management lets you define and version infrastructure modules. Modules are reusable components: power distribution, cooling units, network gear, etc.

Each module has specifications, dimensions, and compatibility rules. Version modules to track changes over time. Use modules in multiple solutions.

Module library is shared across the organization. Standardize on approved modules for consistency and procurement.

How to Use

  1. Create a module. Define name, type, specifications, and dimensions. Add compatibility rules (e.g., works with 2kW cabinets).
  2. Version the module. When specifications change, create a new version. Old solutions can reference old versions.
  3. Use modules in solutions. Drag modules into the solution builder. Configure quantities and connections.
  4. Link to Vendor Network. Optionally link modules to Vendor Network offerings for procurement.

User Roles

This feature is used differently depending on your role:

Solution architects
Define modules, maintain library, version as needed.
