GridSupply

GridSupply is the procurement and product lifecycle platform for the GridSite ecosystem. It provides a structured way to discover, request, approve, receive, and manage both physical products and virtual software assets — linking every purchase to the sites, projects, assets, and teams that depend on them.

What It Is

GridSupply is a B2B procurement portal purpose-built for operational and facility environments. It handles both physical products — hardware, parts, consumables, networking equipment, and general supplies — and virtual software products — licenses, SaaS subscriptions, virtual appliances, support plans, and digital entitlements.

Rather than relying on spreadsheets, ad-hoc purchase orders, or disconnected vendor portals, GridSupply provides a curated internal catalog, standardized request and approval workflows, reorder automation, subscription and renewal tracking, and lifecycle linkage to every other part of the ecosystem. Items purchased through GridSupply are automatically tied to the sites, assets, projects, and service records where they are deployed.

Why It Matters

Procurement in critical-facility and technology environments is often fragmented across vendor portals, email threads, spreadsheets, and disconnected approval chains. This leads to duplicate purchases, missed renewals, unlicensed software, orphaned hardware, and poor budget visibility.

GridSupply brings cost control, standardization, and lifecycle linkage to every purchase. Every item can be attached to a site, asset, project, or ticket. Software subscriptions and license renewals surface proactively. Approved product lists and standard kits reduce procurement friction and ensure compliance. Budget tracking and approval workflows prevent unauthorized spend. And when items are received, they flow directly into asset management and service delivery.

Example Workflows

  • A site manager requests a standard network refresh kit from the curated catalog, the request routes through budget approval, and received items are automatically registered as assets.
  • An IT admin renews expiring SaaS subscriptions through GridSupply and the renewal is logged against the associated site and cost center.
  • A procurement manager creates a reorder template for quarterly consumables and schedules automatic reorder reminders.
  • A technician requests replacement parts for a failed asset, linking the purchase to the open service order in GridServ.
  • Finance reviews total procurement spend by vendor, category, and site for quarterly budget reconciliation.

Intended Users

  • Procurement managers
  • IT administrators
  • Facility managers
