Work Orders

Feature in ColoComplete

Create, assign, and track work orders for installations, moves, and maintenance.

Overview

Work Orders manage installations, moves, adds, changes, and decommissions. Create work orders for cross-connects, power upgrades, cabinet installs, and equipment removals.

Assign work orders to technicians or vendors. Track status from created through in-progress to completed. Link work orders to customers and allocated resources.

Work orders can originate from Site Portal tenant requests (e.g., cross-connect request) or from internal operations. Full audit trail supports billing and compliance.

How to Use

  1. Create a work order from the ColoComplete dashboard. Select type: installation, cross-connect, power upgrade, move, decommission, etc.
  2. Assign to a technician or vendor. Set priority and due date. Add notes and attachments.
  3. Track progress. Update status as work proceeds. Add completion notes and evidence when done.
  4. Link to resources. When installing a cabinet, link the work order to the allocated resource. When decommissioning, release the allocation.
