Access Policies

Feature in GridPass

Configure site-specific access rules.

Overview

Access Policies configure site-specific access rules. Who can access which zones, when, and under what conditions. Policies are enforced at badge readers and checkpoints.

Policies can be time-based (business hours, after hours), role-based (tenant vs. personnel), and zone-based (data hall, office, mechanical).

Policy changes take effect immediately. Revoke access by updating policy. Audit trail records policy changes and access decisions.

How to Use

  1. Define zones. Data hall, office, mechanical, parking. Each zone has its own policy.
  2. Assign access. Link people or roles to zones. Set time restrictions if needed.
  3. Policy engine evaluates each access attempt. Grant or deny based on current policy.
  4. Audit. Who has access to what? When did it change? Compliance reports.
