3D Visualization
Feature in GridTwin
Render facilities in 3D for spatial context.
Overview
3D Visualization renders facilities in 3D for spatial context. View buildings, rooms, and equipment in three dimensions. Navigate and zoom for detail.
3D models can be imported or generated from 2D plans. Support for BIM and common 3D formats. Overlay assets and telemetry in 3D.
Use 3D for complex facilities where height and spatial relationships matter. Cooling flow, cable routing, and proximity analysis benefit from 3D.
How to Use
- Import a 3D model or generate from 2D. Add buildings, rooms, and equipment.
- Place assets in 3D. Assign coordinates. View from any angle.
- Overlay telemetry. Color-code by temperature, humidity, or status. Animate changes over time.
- Share views. Export images or links for reports and collaboration.
User Roles
This feature is used differently depending on your role:
- Facility operators
- Maintain 3D models, place assets.
- Network engineers
- Visualize cable and connectivity in 3D.
