Asset Lifecycle

Feature in ComputeComplete

Track assets across sites, link to maintenance and compliance evidence.

Overview

Asset Lifecycle tracks assets across sites, links them to maintenance and compliance evidence, and maintains a complete history from deployment through decommission.

Assets can be created from BOM items during deployment or added manually. Each asset has a type, location, and lifecycle state.

Maintenance records, compliance evidence, and service history attach to assets. GridTwin can visualize asset locations. GridServ links service orders to assets.

How to Use

  1. Create assets from the Operate phase. Link to BOM items when assets are deployed from a project. Add manual assets for existing equipment.
  2. Assign assets to sites, buildings, and rooms. This enables location-based views in GridTwin and reporting.
  3. Attach maintenance records and compliance evidence. When work is performed (via GridServ or manually), link it to the asset.
  4. Track lifecycle state: deployed, in service, under maintenance, decommissioned. Update as assets move through their lifecycle.

User Roles

This feature is used differently depending on your role:

Facility managers
Manage assets, track lifecycle, attach evidence.
Operations teams
Update asset status, link maintenance.

How It Ties to the Ecosystem

Asset Lifecycle feeds GridTwin for spatial visualization. GridServ service orders attach to assets. Compliance evidence is stored per asset. GridIntegrate can sync asset data from external systems.
