GridTrack

Location Intelligence

Coming Soon tracking location geofencing fleet assets

GridTrack is the location intelligence platform for the GridSite ecosystem. It provides live and historical tracking for people, vehicles, equipment, and mobile assets — with geofencing, zone management, alert rules, and tight integration with dispatch and service delivery.

What It Is

GridTrack delivers real-time and historical location awareness across the operational landscape. It tracks GPS-enabled devices, vehicles, portable equipment, and personnel with opt-in location sharing. It supports indoor positioning where infrastructure allows and outdoor tracking through GPS/cellular/satellite sources.

Beyond simple dot-on-a-map tracking, GridTrack provides geofence management, zone-based rules, dwell-time monitoring, route history, speed and movement analytics, and proximity-based alerting. Privacy controls ensure that personnel tracking complies with organizational policies and local regulations, with configurable opt-in, anonymization, and retention rules.

Why It Matters

Operational organizations manage distributed assets, mobile workforces, vehicle fleets, and portable equipment across multiple sites and regions. Without location intelligence, dispatching is blind, asset utilization is guesswork, geofence compliance is manual, and incident response lacks spatial context.

GridTrack provides the spatial awareness layer that makes dispatching smarter, asset management more accurate, fleet operations more efficient, and incident response faster. When a service order is created in GridServ, the nearest available technician can be identified. When equipment leaves a geofenced zone, an alert fires. When a vehicle deviates from its route, operations is notified. Location becomes an operational input rather than an afterthought.

Key Capabilities

Live Tracking Dashboard

Real-time map view of all tracked entities — personnel, vehicles, equipment, and mobile assets — with status indicators and filtering.

Geofence & Zone Management

Create and manage geographic boundaries with entry/exit rules, dwell-time alerts, and zone-based compliance policies.

Historical Playback

Review movement history, route replays, stop analysis, and location timelines for any tracked entity over configurable retention periods.

Proximity & Dispatch Intelligence

Identify nearest available resources for dispatch, calculate ETAs, and optimize assignment based on location and availability.

Fleet & Vehicle Tracking

Monitor vehicle locations, speed, idle time, route adherence, and maintenance-triggering mileage thresholds.

Privacy & Compliance Controls

Configurable opt-in policies, anonymization options, data retention rules, and role-based visibility to ensure compliant tracking.

How It Ties Into the Ecosystem

GridTrack provides location context to GridCommand for dispatch decisions and incident response. GridServ uses proximity data to assign the nearest technician to service orders. GridComms mobile users share location for coordination and safety. GridSupply tracks equipment deliveries and asset movements. GridPolicy uses geofence events to trigger automated rules and alerts.

Example Workflows

  • A dispatcher views the live tracking dashboard, identifies the nearest available technician to a new service order, and assigns them with one click.
  • A geofence alert fires when a piece of tracked equipment leaves a designated site zone, notifying operations and creating an incident record.
  • A fleet manager reviews weekly vehicle route history and identifies inefficient routing patterns for optimization.
  • A safety officer monitors personnel locations during an emergency evacuation and verifies all tracked individuals have left the affected zone.
  • An asset manager tracks high-value portable equipment across multiple sites and receives alerts when items are idle beyond expected thresholds.
