GridStation

Fixed Endpoints

Coming Soon kiosks panels signage

GridStation is the ecosystem's fixed-endpoint platform for visitor interaction, assistance, notifications, room-level status, and staff-authenticated control.

What It Is

GridStation is the software-defined fixed endpoint layer of the platform. It allows a supported device to become a role-specific station: visitor kiosk, help/call station, classroom notification panel, control panel, sign-in terminal, information display, or room/facility status endpoint.

Rather than building separate products for every endpoint type, GridStation creates a common station OS and policy framework that can be configured into different operating modes depending on location, use case, and permissions.

Why It Matters

Facilities need intelligent endpoints throughout their physical spaces. Lobbies need visitor kiosks. Hallways and rooms need call stations and notification panels. Secure areas need authenticated control points. Managing all of these as separate systems is expensive and fragmented. GridStation unifies them under one platform with centralized configuration, policy, and fleet management.

Key Capabilities

Multi-Mode Operation

Visitor check-in, help/call station, room notification, signage display, and staff-authenticated control modes.

Role-Based Interfaces

Station interfaces adapt based on location, assigned role, and permissions.

Live Communications

Initiate calls to command, request assistance, and receive real-time alerts.

Alert & Acknowledgement

Zone and site-based alert delivery with confirmation and acknowledgement workflows.

Fleet Management

Remote configuration, heartbeat monitoring, device health, and connectivity state awareness.

Policy Assignment

Device-specific policy rules and behavior configuration per station.

How It Ties Into the Ecosystem

GridStation builds on GridPass for visitor and identity workflows, integrates with GridCommand for response handling, uses GridPolicy for alerts and workflows, and relies on GridIntegrate for system relationships and routing context. It can reflect state from GridTwin and broader telemetry systems.

Example Workflows

  • A lobby station runs visitor check-in, badge issuance prep, and receptionist notification.
  • A classroom or room panel displays alerts, requires acknowledgement, and provides quick-call assistance.
  • A secure area station allows staff-authenticated control actions tied to role and location.
  • A help station routes assistance requests to a command desk or nearest assigned responder.
